    Exhaust System for E63 M6

    Hello Everyone!

I want to upgrade the exhaust system on my M6. So I need advice on the following:

First: Should I get the exhaust system only or should I replace the headers as well. I am afraid that the customs headers will make the car too loud and might also fail the emissions test at the RTA. In addition, if I am to keep the stock headers and swap to pass the RTA test, it would take atleast 6 to 8 hours of labour and associated costs.

Second: What headers should I get? Evosport headers seem to be the most reasonably priced at USD 4,500. RPI sells for USD 7,000.

Third: What exhaust system should I get? The Tubi and Kreissieg are the closest to the F1 sound. Kreissieg exhaust sells for USD 7,500. Still waiting for the quote for the Tubi Stage 2.

Please bear in mind our 2 friends, the RTA and the Traffic Police. I do not want negaive attaention from any one of them.

What am I looking for: Actually, I am looking for an F1 like sound, but not too loud to attract the traffic police. Some HP increase is not unwellcome either.

Money: If I am going to get a Tubi or a Kreissieg exhaust (which are both extremely expensive) I cannot afford the headers. If I MUST get the headers, I have to opt for a less expensive exhaust system like RPI, Borla or ASR.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help and guidance.

    :thanks:

I can get you Reuter Motorsport! Running those on ALL of my previous M cars and current M5 + sold to many memebers here like Ssense...Bruno..etc...

And this is VERY close to F1 sound on the V10!!!!

Those Exhausts are manufactured by Eisenmann! The Race cans would be more than enough.. maybe even too loud if you dont want attention! Just Youtube Eisenmann Race M6!

Otherwise i would recommend you the Sport Version with Race Cats if you wanna increase power!

Pricewise... WAY below the prices you mentioned! Many Members here can vouch for ME..the PRICE...THE SOUND...and the QUALITY!

I can get you stock looking tips or Oval ones!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zv3L5qR0NoI This is once with stock cats and once with cat delete! Sport cats will be a bit quiter

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAvAXO2Zwqo with oval tips

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXyKKYW46UE Race with X-pipe

I would like to add that every single Exhaust is "HANDMADE" in Germany! ;)

Oh and i can also get you a Titanium Exhaust system from Manhart Racing as well!

whatever exhaust you get you will get pulled over.... that is a fact, so you might want to take a note of that.

Kreissieg is the best exhaust ever built for this car. don't look anywhere else.

adding headers will make dhahi khalfan impound your car in person.

i had a e60 M5 for a few days with hamman headers and mufflers and pipes. the car can't be driven it was super drony. stay away from headers. the amound of noise that comes out of the car was just too aggressive.

if i were you just go with Kreissieg, or contact rami he has an eisenman race exhaust

I cannot go with Eisenmann Race for sure because its too loud.

There has to be something that would not warrant the attention of the Traffic Police.

Kreissieg is too damn expensive and pretty loud as well.

I was hoping that the Tubi would not be too loud as it only has the mufflers and the mid section and retains the stock cats.

You choose one, either headers with stock mufflers or mufflers with stock headers.. Cuz if you install both, the setup will be way too loud for cops to bear..

Tubi Rumore or Kreissieg, both are the closest F1 giving sounds to an M6, you can close your eyes and choose any of those cans, the cans itself will be more than enough to give you the driving pleasure you need..

Personally id go for Tubi or Kreissieg, the best in the market for the M6, nothing can beat the soundgasm they give..

Hasan, go for Tubi cans with no headers or anything, cops will find it hard to find if its stock or modded exhaust, cuz both sound 50% same when cruising, but when flooring the Tubi sounds totally insane and different than stock..

Thanks Ali! It seems the Tubi Rumore with everything stock shall be the most reasonable and safe choice.

Would you suggest the Stage 1 with the mufflers only or Stage 2 with the mid section as well.

Tubi Rumore is exactly as loud as Eisenmann Race if not louder!!!!

Bruno and Ssense....both of you guys are running Reuter Motorsport (Eisenmann Race).. how would you say that TUBI ist the best way to go?? That needs some clarification..

Kreissieg.. hats off... but thats a different price range! Its way toooo expensive... Tubi is VERY Expensive as well and doesent sounds better than an Eisenmann!

Just do your research and see how many ppl are running Eisenmanns on the V10 compared to how many have different exhausts! Its simple... check on you tube from which brand you will find the most vids..

However.. TUBI RUMORE Is DEFINATELY LOUD!!!!!!! However, there is a quiet version...

IF you wannt something silent.. go for supersprint or hamann and dont touch anything but the muffler and leave everything else stock!
Trust me i was running a V10 and i tried all different options on it...

Hummm! I don't understand how Tubi would be as loud as the Eisenmann.

Borla would be my last choice, if everything else fails. Is there a dealer here for the Borla Exhaust. Any clues in pricing?

Franz, does Eisenmann sound same on a V8 and a V10 ? No they dont.. Im not comparing Eisenmann, Reuter or Tubi..

Im giving my personal opinion on what 'I would' choose if I had an M6 or an M5.. However if most of us think Tubi is loud, then lets suggest something quiet, like ASR, Rami is running ASR and its not loud compared to Eisenmann and other exhausts..

Indeed! I like ASR as well. But I would prefer to have a Tubi Stage 2.

There has to be some of way of knowing how loud it is? And to compare it with other products.

Here's what I found after reading about how loud the below exhausts are:

                          Eisenmann - 98db at 4500 rpm
                          ASR - 95db at 4500 rpm
                          Borla - 82.8db at 4500 rpm

Borla seems to be the quitest out of the above compared three exhausts..

Thanks Ali! This is great information.

Can you find out about the Tubi as well. Also, how loud is the stock exhaust.

Daem! That ASR is pretty loud as well. Didn't expect it to be so loud.
