Morning all, hope we’re all well today.
What ever happened to the review of the new Metallica single I hear you all scream in anticipation(:)) well let me tell ya!!
It’s an 8 minute affair which starts with a ballad like sound reminiscent of “The Unforgiven” or something from the “Metallica (Black) album era.
At 4 minutes it changes into a heavier track altogether and proceeds to change again at the 5 minute mark until the end into a “Kill Em’ All”-“Ride The Lightning” style track with riffs that seem to come straight off of “Hit The Lights” and “Creeping Death”
It Is a multi layered sound once again like that on “…And Justice For All” and not solo styled as found on the “St Anger” album.
I definitely recommend this track as it is once again a true Metallica sound, Purists like me will (like me) fall in love all over again and the impending arrival of the new album “Death Magnetic” is now more eagerly anticipated.2009 45th Anniversary Mustang GT / Black / Stock
