alright guys GOOD MORNING! or maybe good afternoon for me :D

i'm here at the Emirates ID Center in Al Barsha since 6:30am, and i got a ticket number which is 100+ in the queue, so by the way things are going i'll be out of here by 10:00am hopefully!

i've got my laptop & the 3.5G card to kill time FTMFSOBAHW :bow:

UPDATE:

ok, things were going fast & i was really surprised.. from 7:50 till 8:30 (40min) they managed to do 30 numbers, but now things slowed down and from 8:30 till 9:10 (40min) they've done only 15!



they did it again!



there's only 2 possibilities:

1) the staff started getting lazy as usual: taking breaks, calling their girlfriends/boyfriends, chatting with people around etc..
2) the system slowed down

both which are, in my opinion, signs of irresponsibility!

my battery will die in 30min! what should i do :(

Haissam, you may also take a break, go out, have some coffee and come back after an hour or two. Dont waste your time waiting, your turn will come only after an hour or two..

I would hook you up if your visa was from Al Ain, but it all depends where your visa is from.. For instance if your visa is from Dubai, you can register for the card only from Dubai branch :dunno:

that's what i was thinking, first i thought i'll go to the office (15min away) for an hour or so, and then come back.. but i'm scared that my number might come up & i lose the whole day you know!

i did the pre-registration & got the printout with the barcode.. then you should show up anywhere with this printout & your original passport & get it done :) appointment system doesn't work anymore in dubai :(

Some offices arranged appointments for their staff and they usually sent their staff in groups, companies in Dubai should be doing this..
