The 2012 Mongol Rally

Dear All,

It is done, I m registered to the 2012 Mongol rally. We will be leaving from Antwerp Belgium all the way to Ulaanbataar in Mongolia. Around 16,000 KMS all of that for just one Charity. We planned to make it in a month, however we don't really know if we will make it or not.

There is only two rules in the Mongol Rally:

- The car must not be above 1.2 liter.
- The car must not exceed 10 years.

Here is a teaser, I will keep you update on the route we will take, the car etc...

LOL, nope. 1.2 it is, and buy looking at the available cars, I found out lot of models that I didn't know it was even existing.

It is not easy to find a car. First of all it is for the charity, so whatever you buy will be given away in Mongolia, so you don't want to spend too much money on it. As of now, I found a Suzuki Alto, 1.2 with 102,000 kms for 1650 Euros. That is not bad.

If I buy this car, will have it modified a bit for the Rally. Specially suspension as most of the roads we will take are not existing. Also a good point of Suzuki, is that anyone can fix it in any country. Some country we will pass through for sure they never see a Volkswagen. Suzuki is safer for sure.

Its even a 1 litre, meaning fuel consumption should be amazing! lol.. here is the description:

60,000 miles, vauxhall corsa ! must see 1 litre, Lambo doors 2004 ! bodykit angel eyes, alloys, tinted windows,pearl paint,k&n fillter,twin exhaust, smoked rear lights,does need some tlc on back but i do have all parts to fix its really simple and quick no tax or mot i do NOT have the logbook or any service history but i do have a recipt from official company were i bought the car from its very clean and tidy drives very well its a real head turner reposting due to time wasters ! call anytime parts available to repair for a extra £100 no offers. £999.

Select engine size ( 1-1.3L)
Select age ( up to 7 years old)

and then search, it should turn up on page 4, number 4 posting on that page
