      Well wouldn't there be more resonance if you go faster ? But yeah you got it right, going at a faster speed will reduce the risk of breaking the ice.

      Indeed that's why you dont wear a seatbelt.

      I think they also require you to drive with your windows open because with the electric ones you cant open them in water or smth.

        I am not an egineer, but I think in this case the resoance is influenced by the speed of the waves under the ice bed. So the speed of the car has to be higher or lower than that.

        Also, vehicle must not be stopped and minimum 3 minute interval between entry of each vehicle.

        I believe there were a couple of more rules as well, but this is all I can recall.
