Hi, my name is perry and am new to the UAE. I live in Al Ain and am looking at maybe buying a BMW. I plan to Drift whatever i buy and was looking at some M5's online. I'm still waiting on my resident visa so no chance at a purchase just yet. I would really like to find and 850 with a 6 speed. Whatever i get though, needs to be reliable. I commute to Abu Dhabi daily for work. any ways, any suggestions on what is a driftable yet reasonable car to drive? I'm pretty experienced in drifting as i lived/drifted in japan for 7 years. I'm not scared of big power or modding. thnx in advance for any suggestions you may have and hope to see you at the drift pad in Al Ain soon!

welcome aboard man nice to have you here let me give you a big advice from me experience :
1- get 2 cars one for your daily use and another for drifting (for alot of reassons in point 3)
2- get a cheap, easy to maintaine drift car and the drift car best choises are a BMW E30 or E36 or a skiline GT other than that it will coust you toooooooo much to make it a drift car
3-reassons are fines. I think you agree that a drift car must have atleast a loud sound and must be lowered and maybe turbo those are all big fines if you get stopped by the police once you will got atleast 1 mounth block + black points besides the fines $$$ + a daily use and drift car is no good idea you will spend all your time fixing it
4- i went through alot of sh!t to learn what i told you and i learned it the hardest way possible :(
5- btw there is an E30 for sale perfect for drifting it has a 3.5 engine manual needs some work but its very cheap ;)
and again welcome to the club :)Last edited by salty; 04-04-2011, 09:11 AM.
