Well, for reference, Alpha-N is not a tuning company. It's rather a concept of managing your engine and ultimatly it's air/fuel ratio (AFR). In a nutt shell, it relies on different inputs when compared to those used by, say, a typical MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow). Wherein the MAF relies on air density resulting from ambient temperature and altitude to determine the correct amount of fuel to be mixed with it, Alpha-N uses RPM and TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) to do so.
One of the biggest advantages in utilizing an Alpha-N tune is elimination of the MAF sensor, which is an obstacle to the incoming air flow. Thus, it maximizes the amount of air in your air box.
