          You're right, but I guess my diff was running out of oil thats why it made some dry rubbing metal noise, but now its perfect..

                If you're talking about LSD diffs oil, then for a good reason; these systems are lubricated with synthetic oil (I suppose they are) PLUS additives. Open diffs don't require such additives :)

                  Additives act as friction modifiers, they increase the friction between the clutch plates (LSD) but don't affect other metal parts.

                  Weird example, Grand Cherokee's without LSD's and additives don't lock up both tires properly whilst off-roading. Throwing a bottle of additives increases friction and increadibly enhances traction by stronger diff lock.
