Haha ! This is one old project, Ayman and I started out on this some time ago. Never got to the building stage, no thanks to senior year. Any seat will work fine, but make sure it's bolted securely. Measurements, measure again and again !

are you planning on having the steering wheel and Seat (mainly the seat) adjustable?..
so far the Rigs I sat in either dont have the Wheel/Gear or the Seat steady enough.
and what template are you building the rig around?..E36 or another car
I was halfway in designing a Rig, but then lost track
