    DIY Race Simulator Project

having just bought Logitec G25 to our PS3 set, myself and SimonXXX Franz decided to start building a race simulator seat as in the picture below

we have already got the seat from a Mazda Miata

i am now working on the steel structure which is gonna be fully hand built by myself and my welder in my construction site :D:D:D

will let you guys know about the progress later ;)

    keep watching the thread...

well actually steel is too cumbersome

I have designed one of these frames but never gotten around to building it....I remember paying AED1,200 for 50 kilos of 1018 steel for our FSAE chassis (I think, it's been some years now). I did the welding with my team. Get the bending done at a mill and weld it yourself, twice the fun and quarter the cost ;)

hollow stainless steel like the ones used in handrials shouldn't be heavy and can do the job, about the seat, a replica seat should b a better idea, u donot need a FIA certified one, just a bucket seat, replica seats are available here and for low prices
