Cleaned MAF... WOW! - GB Anyone?

    No need to be embarrassed.....It's straight forward; open the hood, locate the intake airbox, follow the elbow connecting it to the engine, on the elbow you'll see a sensor protruding out of it with a wire conecction. This is the MAF. You'd need a screw driver to take it out after you disconnect the wire connection.

    I have some pics somewhere, will post them up later.

            My E90 does 0-100kph in 8sec, instead of the 6 (or closer to 6sec) that it should... should I clean the MAF as a starter?

                Doesn't have to be the MAF !! .. it could be many different things .. but I'd say give ur filters (Air filter, fuel filter) a good service & try cleaning ur MAF ... it should work ..

                    u cant be so accurate on this stopwatch. also weather condition and shifting skills can easily make a 2 sec difference.
