I have to disagree on it being called the M1 - that name should be reserved for a future 2 seater supercar with DNA originating from the first. for the 1 series, use some other name like M135i, 135ti, or M135tii. The BMW M1 is the grand father. They broke the mold when they built the car in eighties.
These are exciting times, and perhaps the 135///M will offer a glimpse of what is to come in the new M3 and M5. However dont mind seeing a revival of the grand master.Comment
