I am loving BMW turbo engines

Who would have thought that a turbo engine is fun to drive. I recall back in 1991 when I bought Nissan 200 sx turbo. 170 bhp which was the bomb back then. I never thought this would become the norm on BMW'S but trust me. Went racing all the way up jabal jais with very capable v8's from the club. Oh boy, there faces at the top of the mountain. Priceless. What's your vote?

Look, we cannot deny that BMW Turbo engines are extremely successful in many different ways. They're Eco friendly, have higher output, and lower in weight. Take the new F80 M3 for instance, equipped with a smaller engine than the predecessor E92 M3, and is capable of doing quicker laps than the E92 as well.

However, few hardcore petrolheads (like me) would state that the engine is not THAT responsive and does not let the power explode at your foot step. The N/A engine tends to drop all the power instantly at your command, while the Turbo engine has a smoother graph and gives you what you need, but just fracture of a second later.

Another thing we all agree with I think, is that the sound of a naturally aspirated engine roaring is a lot better than a turbo blip.

Thank you for contributing. I agree that naturally aspirated engines offer more feeling and emotional fun
