    996 GT3 MK1 Maintenance

    :Coffe:

My car has been parked for almost a year in not a perfect environment, so taking in consideration the weather here in Dubai (heat, humidity and dust) what should I look for to maintain the car before I drive it again? Things I NEED to change and things I'd better change? Spark plugs? Pipes? Oils? Anything in specific?

    Appreciate your inputs

    Cant wait! :shisha:

Oh and :1stcup: to Falcons and Bruno

this is as far as i understand (correct me if i am wrong) a public forum, where people share ideas on how to make the bmw lifestyle better and more pleasurable and enjoyable..where we benefit from others mistakes and learn from our own ,share experiences..all in a common goal to make everything and everyone better, not the opposite.. do i need to remind everyone of all the laughs we had and how many times we shared food and shisha together..how many times we all stayed up late to fix anothers friend (brother) issues?? This is what makes a community, us, people..a common understanding and fellowship..respect

Power steering is the first thing u lose if ur car is parked for a long time in a harsh environment ! I'd suggest you make a full inspection on your bushes as well !!

      1) PS oil and line, oil replacement recomended.
      2) BRAKE OIL ! Replacement and a good bleeding or two.

      4) ALL oil coolers, lines and fittings.

      Electrical :
      1) Battery/Terminals
      2) Fuse box and fuses for any sign of corrosion or oxidation due to humidity.

      Suspension :
      1) Leaking shocks
      2) Bushings for cracks and/or deformation

      Tires :
      1) Check for flat spots, even if not present replacement is recomended.

there is an old arabic saying that goes like " ma min 2ool fool illa mayseer bil makyool" in other words, when it's completely fixed then we'll evaluate things and take it from there
