Abu Dhabi: The speed limit on the Al Ain-Dubai road has been reduced to 100km per hour due to road construction.
Radars have been reset to catch violators in both direction, according to the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety Section of the Traffic and Patrols Department of Abu Dhabi Police.
Colonel Hussain Ahmad Al Harithi, Director of the Department, said traffic on the road has been limited to two lanes in each direction with no hard shoulders.
Motorists will also have to take some detours until the road work is over, after which the road will have four lanes in each direction.
Al Harithi urged motorists to adhere to the new speed limit.
