Hi to everyone,

I have just purchased a brand new Z4 28i Mkit in black metallic so I thought it made sense to join this forum! A lot of useful information on here already after a quick browse.

I look forward to chatting with all of you. First couple of questions:

1. My car came with the std 2yrs factory warranty from BMW. I am therefore considering to add 3 or 5yrs warranty and service package. Any way we can get a good deal on these from AGMC?

2. My previous car was a boxster (2013) and I loved the 6 cylinder boxster engine sound, the 2lt turbo on the 28i sounds a bit like a toy compared to it. Anything we can do about that? [emoji48]

Welcome on board! The Z4 is a really sexy car!

Regarding the extended warranty, we as a club currently have discounts applicable on new cars (our gold membership enables corporate rates with AGMC). Had you approached us a bit earler, then we could have set you up with the gold membership and possibly negotiated the extended warranty and service package. However, since we dont have any discounts on after-sales, its unlikely that we can negotiate a discount on the extension.

your best options considering warranty is to go for a catback exhaust. Any changes to engine intakes or earlier exhaust sections will void your warranty :) I'd say, play it safe for now.

Hi Wazif and thanks for the warm welcome, the car is still registered with AGMC, it will be registered to me tomorrow I guess. It is still a NEW car I guess. Is it still possible to do something about the extended warranty and service package? And what does the gold membership include? I am not aware of that.

Yeah I would may go for a catback, don't want to mess around with warranties. Any recommendations on the catbacks and specialists in Dubai?

Manufactured end of 2015 (so it was called 2016 model, latest shape, top spec) but first registered 1 week ago by me. I bought it brand new, zero kms. AGMC has ran out of stock of these cars for 6 months now they told me, only by special order and they only sold the 20i (slow) and the 30i (heavier engine) apparently, not the 28i that I bought (from Abu Dhabi Motors - the AD BMW distributor).
