Hello everybody!

I signed up late last week but I've been super busy with work, I couldn't post a new thread! Anyway, I am new to the BMW universe :) I'm a 26 year old Mechanical Engineer working in Ruwais (western Region of Abu Dhabi); I recently bought a 2015 Havana Brown 640i, this is officially the first BMW car that I own! Previously, I had a Ford Mustang 5.0 (it was a BEAST) and I was somewhat worried that a downgrade from V8 to V6 would be painful; however, this work of art did not fail to impress - especially the MAJOR upgrade from Ford's no luxury to BMW's full luxury!

I have no pics with me now, I'll post some later on! Until then, hope to meet you all whenever time permits!

I do apologize in advance if I don't join for lots of events/gatherings. As I mentioned, I work in Ruwais and I'm pretty sure such events won't be held here ;P however, whenever time permits, I'll be the first to join! :D

I want to ask you about the Nano-Coating. Can you tell us more about it?

Nano coating is a chemical that adds like a layer to the car in order to protect the paint from dust, bird poops and similar stuff. More information can be obtained here: Beeds Car Detailing | Premium Ceramic Paint

LLUMAR is awesome! I usually go for 3M but I found LLUMAR feels cooler when you get in the car. Also it's not as dark from inside as 3M is. I installed 40% tinting with 83% solar reduction and I feel I chose the right tint when comparing to 3M! Especially at night - the world is visible xD and it has a 5 year installation and color loss warranty.

As for nano, I did 4 layers to protect the paint from highway defects - Ruwais road sucks. It cost me 3000 Dhs (1500 Dhs first layer then 500 Dhs for every other layer - for SUVs they charge 3500) with free inspection and rectification (if necessary) every 6 months for 5 years (they usually have it for 3 years but they had an offer).

Thanks, I was considering vkool for 70% quoted for 3800 .. I'll check llumar on Saturday.

I agree nano is must I'm almost like you my ride from home to work takes around 40min and shk MBZR is a route filled with truck.
