    Hello !

    Hii Every one,

I am a new member here and own a 525i '96. I have a problem with it. Just as the winter started the car wont star in the morning. There is zero response on turning the key on ignition. The ignition lights are all perfectly there but there is no cranking at all. By the noon it starts in seconds and runs perfectly as if there was no problem at all.

I have got it checked in couple of garages and changed the thermostat but couldn't fix the actual problem. Its so funny that it happens only in the early morning and at noon its perfectly fine.

I am also a member on a 4x4 Forum and know that the best help comes from the generous fellow owners.

Thanks for the help and advice in advance :)

Try Octane garage. They are a sponsor here.

        Thank me later.

            How old is your battery?

Sometimes, when the electronics get old, they don't respond very well in cold weather. Although the weather does not meet the definition of cold, but it might be the cause.

              Hello mate ,
The thermostat will not stop the car from cranking ! It seams like your ignition barrell is at fault or your EWS is at fault , try a spare key if you have one this will eliminate the EWS .
Otherwise drop me a visit at OCtane and we will solve this issue for you :)

Try using a hot hair dryer on the ECU below the rear seat. :)
