    Intro Overdue

    Hi Guys,

Join the Forum a while back and have been a silent observer but thought I would introduce myself. I own a BMW E93 320i and am loving it. Thinking about spicing it up a bit since it has already crossed the 100,000 km mark and I didn't get the warranty extended. Anyway... will see you guys in the other discussion.

    Cheers!

Well thats what im here for... to ask the experts for their input ;)

First of want to get rid of those 19 inch wheels and the RFT Tyres... thinking more around the lines of black 18 inches... cause the current setup makes the ride a bit too hard for my taste...

If that is the case then your left with a big wheel gap, unless you lower the car which will cause a hard if not harder ride.

It all depends, are you going for looks or performance or comfort.

Let us know the above so we can assist :)

Good point... but i think this originally came with smaller wheels... im not sure but i think 17 inches as my friend who i bought it from replaced the original ones with these at BMW for something around 27k... my problem is I drive around 100-150 km a day and where i lived they have those JBR Walk style roads which is a pain in the neck (I hate those roads)... I just want to be comfortable without giving up on performace... so thats why considering 18 inches... one shop I went to offered to give me 18 inches with new tyres in exchange for mine if I paid an extra 4k but as my tyres are RFTs and they were offering normal and also 19 inches should be more expensive then 18 i didnt go for it. Your input in this will be appreciated..

Now I am a 100% sure I can get good advice here...

Considering your wheels are real from the price they are purchased (27K), and paying an extra 4K for 18" is definitely not a deal at ALL.

I would hold on this because there is much better deals/shops out there that offer better prices for original BMW wheels. Do you have any specific type in mind?

I understand what your saying this road type kills me.

Yep both are lowered and that will affect the comfort of the car and won't look as nice if you reduce the size and leave a wheel gap, not too sure other may like it.

I meant only the rims. They look sick. What would recommend for comfort? 320 as you know is not much of a performance car anyway... sadly. I love how it handles though.

It would be nice to have the 18" M3 rims, with a slight drop.

This will increase handling which im sure you wont mind.

Sounds Dreamy... You think if i switch the RFT's with regular tyres it would help much?

+1 for 18inch M3 rims, yes def dump those RTF tires, just make sure if you go normal tyres, you have a spare in the boot, or a glue/stikky stuff kit/compressor.

thanks for the recommendation.... BTW it says this on the side door panel:

                              225/40 R 18 88 V Front
                              255/40 R 17 91 V Rear

                              225/50 R 16 92 H+S
                              255/35 R 18 90 Rear

I took a pic and its not 100% clear but I think those are the numbers.
