    Hello everyone, newbie to forum

    Hello everyone

    My name is Ali, and I own a 523 from 2009 - E60.

I work in the Department of Transportation Abu Dhabi Government so my life does revolve around transportation. I am a Finance professional

I purchased my car from AGMC, and absolutely love it. I know a 530 is better, but I have clocked up 150,000 KM so far, so need to have a engine that is low consumption :)

Before my current E60, I had in the UK an E39 520i. I really love that car, and miss it a lot. The only reason we parted is that you can't import a UK car to UAE. (it's right side drive)

I really want to keep my car for a long time, and hope to have it till 500,000 KM without too many maintenance issues.

The best upgrade I have done for the car is replace the run flats with normal tires.

Hope the forum will help me achieve this goal :)

I know the pain of not being to import RHD to Dubai... Wanted to get myself a M3 Evo convertible eurospec and couldnt, so had to settle for the M3 Evo us spec instead which has less horsepower.

    Anyway welcome to the club!

If you wnat your engine to run for 500k kms, follow the old school maintenance schedule.

          Hi Hasan

thanks for advice. By old school maintenance you mean that Oil change at 10K KM or less.

what else should I do. I was never convinced by BMW 30K KM oil change (???) and now with new 2014 models the oil change is back to 10 to 12K KM.

              thanks Hasan.

wow what a difference from the current one.
One question though about the Auto transmission fluid. Isn't this sealed for life? Although I have never been convinced about this.

Any many E60 owners here changing their ATF? Is this advisable?
