New joiner and looking for an E46 M3!

    Hi everyone

Just joined today on Rifo's reference (sorry couldn't get that on my registration) after speaking to him on the phone so thought I would introduce myself to you all...
I arrived in Dubai some 3 months ago from London where I used to own and drive an E46 M3, prior to that a ZM3 and prior to that 2 E36 M3s but as yet am still on foot (well cabbing it everywhere to be honest) in Dubai and itching to get myself another M3. I have already transfered my UK licence to a UAE one but am not quite sure about the whole insurance business here and how it works (I have been told though that my 10+ years of no claims bonuses in London will not get me nowhere here and that I need to start from scratch).
I have been looking at Dubizzle and read some of your older posts on current market prices and seems a clean one would be in the 75k range which would be within my budget... found this one which seems to have been there for a while and reduced in price to now 73k: http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified...==&ps=2&page=1

Any help or advice on finding the right car would be most appreciated!

    Thanks
    Naji

Hey Naji... welcome to the forums I'm pretty sure I don't need to tell you this but u really should be skeptical about M3s that r going for cheap... u probably already know that fixing up these babies is not exactly cheap. Saying that, u looking at ones going for 75k is a good indication that u're willing to pay for ones that are in good nick... Mine was up for sale a while ago and I was asking for 75k (full service history and fully stock). Our recommendation would be to a full checkup at Das Autoworks. pm member Ayham for details. The one u found on Dubizzle seems to be a pretty good specimen... needs a full checkup anyway :)

Do let us know when you come across any... maybe someone on the forums knows that particular car

                  Welcome

Welcome to the club. Definitely don't go for a cheap deal. I made that mistake earlier this year and have easily seen whatever I "saved" on the deal be eaten up on repairs. Oh and don't take their word on the condition, even a friend, get it checked out.
