Too true, it is Bruno. It is the base for the first 6 cylinder M3 engine (excluding U.S. spec engines).
But, what Ayham meant was. The 325i had good horspower but not much torque.
An E36 vert' is a pretty heavy car and torque is therefore necessary, the 328i has that torque.
And the difference isn't just in engine size, the 325i engine has a different manifold wich helps in HP but not torque v.s. the 328i's manifold wich starts the torque curve much earlier in the RPM and stretch's up .
