    New M Roadster Owner

    Hi All,

Just picked up a 99 M Roadster and found out about the UAE BMW club thanks to a reference to it from Sleepy on bimmerforums. Anyway, I'm loving the car and look forward to meeting up for a drive sometime!

Welcome to the crazy turf :D

One issue with Roadies you may want to address before it escalates; Rear subframe bushings and differential bushings need to be replaced frequently. If your Z is "wobbly", especially at speeds, that's the culprit.

If you're going to replace them, then I suggest polyurethane bushings instead of OE rubber ones. Pay an extra premium, but forget about them for the rest of its life.

Thanks all! I'm looking into the subframe bushings...Already decided I need to replace the diff mount, and just want to get back under the car to check the sub bushings. Is powerflex the best brand?

Another question...Can you all recommend somewhere to get the seat leather replaced? Driver's seat has some tears I would like to take care of. I don't want to pay too much (got one quote for 7k for the two seats from a guy who just had Ferraris and Rangies in the garage...crazy!), but I also don't want it to look cheesy.

Previous owner had about 35k worth of work done there: new front a arms/bushings, new a/c condenser, lines etc. (everything but the compressor), replaced headgasket, fan clutch, all 4 rotors and pads, etc...
