Following another good experience with Shak and the X Centre, I was looking for a place to show appreciation for good service and didn't see one.
I had an intermittent misfire start yesterday, so this morning I limp into the X Centre before heading off on my 100km commute, thinking I'll drop the car off and pick up a rental car and hopefully I'll be on my way to work soon enough.
But no, I'm there for a whole hour, so I must have been p*&##@d off right? Wrong; in that hour my car was diagnosed, parts were replaced, checked, invoiced and I was on my way, in my own car! Furthermore Shak did his usual great job of keeping the waiting customers entertained, so I wasn't even bored.
Just a lucky day? I don't think so; this is the second time they've done something similar. When they have needed to take the car for a while, they've always kept to or very close to the schedule and when there's a problem they keep in touch. To someone like me who needs to make alternative plans if my car is off the road, this kind of thing makes a huge difference.
I know this isn't news for a lot of you, but "catching people doing things right" is one of my New Year's Resolutions, so I thought it was worth a mention.
p.s. the bill was reasonable too (well sort of, in BMW terms, you know what I mean).
