    What springs are these?

When I bought my car, the ex-owner had previously bought some springs but never installed them on the car and they were still in the box with the shipping documents.

These springs have come from the USA but I have no idea what make/model they are, anybody have any ideas?

The documents clearly make a reference to BMW M3 - are these OE springs?

2007 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab: 6" lift,
    2008 Mercedes SLK 350

I think "450p" stands for the spring rate which seems abit stiff for stock e36 M3 springs. the experts can give you more feedback on which brand are these

Seems like these springs were meant for more of a drift setup car since the rears are softer than the fronts

Drift setup is the other way around...

Yorky, no clue mate. Good brands will have their trademark printed on the product with part numbers.

Stiffened suspension with more negative camber at the front than the rear.

They are referring to camber numbers buddy, more at the front than in the rear. It's physics, but that's for a side-track lesson :)

:thanks: Ayham! Because I remember reading that too stiff rear causes understeer so I thought the opposite would cause oversteer.

Rule of thumb in suspension tuning:

"Wherever you increase spring rate, positive camber, tire pressure, shock rebound, you increase that end's natural tendency"

these also look identical to the cosmos e30 coilover conversion kit.

but as simon said if you already have these coilovers already then you won't need this

The previous owner was of the opinion that the car was too low on the coilovers and bought these springs with the thought of lifting her slightly.

From what Ayham has seen, one of the coilovers is leaking!

Yorky, having owned these cars from the 90s and almost 7 of them to date. Bilstein Sport shocks are the way to go. Those were matched to the Euro spec spring rates which BTW are identical to the LTW springs in the US and Eibach Sports (LINEAR not the progressive ones). The shocks come with a lifetime warranty. I think they can be had for $800 new for the set.

If you need springs, for the street, 350lbs-400lbs MAX with 450-500 max at the back. Springs are around $35-$40 a pop so you can throw in a complete set on your coilovers if they are still good. Mind taking a snap of the shocks?

You will really enjoy these cars, with 60K miles they are just broken in :)
