    E46 M3 Delrin FCAB review

So most of you know that 2-3 months back i went with the Delrin FCABs and was complaining about the noises that used to appear... bla bla bla.. oh yes and they do perform well. so the only downside was the noises.

Apparently after ditching the car for almost a month without driving it i decided to take it yesterday to drive around with it and God the noises just got worse. i can't describe how loud it was. Long story short, i got the car on a jack and decided to run a check up. took off of the lower arm to find out that there was some rust building where the control arm joins the FCAB. it was awkward but i decided to sand the rust out of the items to get them greased and fitted them back on. the whole point of the thread is that i happly lived after. lol

        Rust ?

Was the car parked over a puddle or wed soil/sand ? Humid parking lot ?

That's flash rust, it's nothing serious. But, it's definatley a key factor of the noise.

Does it still sound like a bus over bumps ? And, hows the SS mid section  ?

Ow, and. Wazif. THAT IS ONE SEXY SIG MAAAN  !!!

cats in the exhaust manifold+ resonators in the sec1+ resonated sec2+ low pitch ss muffler will lower the tone even more.

if my car was a euro i would've had no cats in the exhaust manifold therefore the car will be loud. but i'll change them soon

From the looks of it, I think the part that rusts is the bushing metal sleeve. I don't think it's rust-proof...

Both ways, it's not the arm. It's made of aluminum alloy.

Those things will never rust !

Put some kind of thin rust proof coating on them.

they are aluminum but why would rust build where the arm intersects the bushing? :dunno:
