    Tire Specs

Hey need some advice on my tires. BMW AbuDhabi motors says that I need to have run flats on my car to ensure that the run flat system works properly I have a sweet set of tires (none run flats) but they say they are not to exact spec for my E92??

    (2 questions)

Do I need to do an alignment every time I change tires out?

Whats up with the the Run flat thing I was running these tires on my E90 in the states which also had the tire sensor set up properly.

    Thanks

    • Find your tire sizes and based on that check the market for proper tires, yes every time you change your tires an alignment has to be done to ensure that you have a thrust angle of 0. Other wise, the car will swerve and will be dangerous to drive.
    • Regarding RFT, it's totally up to you whether you want to have RFT on your car or don't. It doesn't really harm your car if you have the RFT system but using regular tires.

BS RFT won't void your warranty....

you might've installed a wrong spec tire perhaps adding more diameter to the total size.

look at your car's front and rear side walls and report back what sizes you've got. for example 235/35/18??
