    Tires fit to Alloy

    Hi mates,

I want to know if I can increase the width of tires on my existing RIMs? or should I buy new RIMs to fit that new size?

    At the moment:
Rear tires size is : 18/35/265, I need to make it 18/35/285
Front tires size is: 18/40/235, I may leave them same or increase it to 245.

    Your inputs are highly appreciated.

OEM is 255 rear & 225 front.. it's not advisable to go wider, but 265 & 235 will also work as you've installed.

why do you want the extra width? that's more like M5/M6 widths :dunno:

+1 and bisho if u had the owner manual you ll c the recommended wheel size for 18" which is as haissam said. its better to keep it as recommended (my opinion)

E60 M5: LCI OEM Tail Light, CF Front/Side Grill, Bright White Angel eyes"
E46-Sold: OEM MtechII, Eisenmann exhaust (2x83mm), Bilstein sport shocks, H&R sprot springs, 18” OEM rims (F:225, R:255), M3 auto folding/heated mirrors, clear (LEDs tail lights/corners/sides), Orion V2 angel eyes, Xenoflo HID bulb (6000K) low beam, CF (interior/knob/steering wheel trim/doors handles/grille), Alcantara (gear boot/hand brake)

          Woow all are interested!!

Ok guys, to make it more stable as I drive on high ways always + the look of the car from rear will be more beautiful ;)

I feel too much power in my car (manual), that's why such tires will not affect performance that much (IMO).

So now, What's the answer? should I install new RIMs? or use existing ones?

Too much tire on a rim = wobbly handling + bad looking side profile. Unless your car is developing 350hp or more, I don't think you need the headache :)

Your current set up is very good and ideal IMO.
Wider will not be so good.
