    Borla V2 midpipe for E46 M3

    Sup guys ;) ...

    Hope y'all doing good.

I need your opinion and feedback on a possible upgrade for my e46 M3.

I am planning to install a Borla V2 midpipe on my car. I already have the Borla catback system.

    1. Will the combo of the midpipe and the catback yield any HP gains?
    2. Once I have the combo, I am planning on going for the VIEZU tune. The standard offer from Viezu is a 18HP gain. with this combo, can I get more than 18HP?
    3. Will the installation of the mid pipe result in the deletion of the CATs? if yes, will I have issues with the RTA during renewal?

I really want to get this upgrade. But I fear i mite be run into trouble with the authorities :P

    Looking forward to your feedback

Would it affect back pressure?! I mean if u're running stock section 1 and mid to end Borlas? I'm not an expert but I would think anything you combine might have a negative effect... maybe some charts or so would help

I'll leave it for the experts

it's good for american M3s only... you will realize a dip in power when you change the section2 and without a remap i'm afraid you won't enjoy it much. as for tasjeel you'll be just fine.

why is it good only for only american M3?

Also, I am planning a VIEZU map. But wana know if its worth gettn the midpipe and then doing the remap or going for the remap with the current catback set up.

Wazif im illiterate too when it comes to this stuff, consider the opinions here and also get in touch with RiFo, he has installed some pulleys and did the Viezu remap, i know how satisfied he is now :)

As long as your not touching section1 your fine .. install section two, get pulleys THEN go for a remap .. and you will be flying :D

yup...just to clarify....im not touching the section 1.... The midpipe is just section 2...So i reckon with the stock section 1, the CATs will remain. Then will go for the remap once the installation of the section 2 is done.

Not sure bout the underdrive pulleys....do they really make a difference?

thanks for the feedback guys :thanks:

in american E46 M3s the cats come in the headers, so whatever you do at the back it won't do bad to your performance. in euro models the sec 1 carries the cats, which will drastically affect your perfromance if tempered with.

so yeah get the borla v2 section2 and do a few minor bolt-ons then wrap things up with a remap.

Was putting my order through Turner motorsport. Thought i'd combine the pulleys and section 2. But Douglas from Turner motorsport responded saying that installing this pipe will remove the CATs from the EURO spec M3 :(

Now im confused whether to go for it or not :dunno:
