Drivetrain message of death!

Got this on my M5 yesterday while I was gunning it a little. Had to take the drive of shame the rest of the way while the E63 flew past.

Any ideas what the heck could cause it? Have to take it in on Monday to the dealer.

That's called limp mode.

Last post has the solution although it may or may not be the issue causing your car to go into limp mode

there are a list of things that can throw this error message. You'll need to read the fault codes to pin point the exact root cause. Get it hooked up to a fault code reader.
