What do you think of front glass Window Tinting?

So I am going to have my car tinted with 3M file 30% tomorrow. They have an option to also tint the front glass but I am worried that when the time comes to renew the registration I would be forced to remove it. It's not legal right?

Stay away from Front windshield tinting. Will land you in a lot of trouble if caught.
