E30 problem ?

hello guys

my friind have 327 E30 manual gear box

before 1 week he change the gear oil

after that he hear a noise from the gear

no Vibration or somthing like that

Excellent torque and nic Acceleration

what do you think guys ??

is it a getrag or ZF gearbox. if it is getrag then say goodbye to the gearbox.

Can you hear the noise while driving or standstill ? Try pressing the clutch and see if the noise exists or not..

well yes it's the worse case scenario however the real issue is the description it self is very limited.

when you say, noise from gear one needs to specify if the noise is related to rattling, grinding, whinning, barking, moaning, meowing... etc. then one needs to specify when the noise comes out, when you're going through gears, or if it is a consistent rattle at stand still when no gear is engaged. etc....

so is it while shifting or a constant whinning noise? be specific

not while shifting

if u shifted to 1 or 2,3,4 or 5 its the same noise but its be big noise in the high speed

eventhough if u drive and ur speed is 120 or 140 at 5 gear and but it into N the same nosie :S

i think its drive shift right ??
