Steptronic auto gear box in e36 vert??

Hi Guys
Not sure if this is the right section, but anyway..
Does anyone know if the later bmw Steptronic auto gearboxes will fit mate up and fit in a e36 325i? I like the auto / manual ability of my 2010 5 series and dislike teh auto box that came as standard in 1994!

I guess there will be a tonne of electrics that would need to be swapped over too.

I don't want to change the engine, although I did wonder what happens to broken/crashed newer M3s in Bahrain (guess they get auctioned off and shipped out of the country)..

In the UK, yes a manual GB is by far the best (expensive fuel, empty roads etc..), but here in Bahrain... not so sure!

Anyway is just an idea.

I need to find a wrecked 3 series.. and have a play..
