Guys,

my M3 was almost finished!!!!!!!!!!

The last thing what needed to be done was to press back the bearing in the trailing arm...

Guess what happend??? THIS ST**** F**** Id**** BROKE MY LEFT TRAILING ARM while trying to press the bearing!

Now again i have a problem.... Sometimes i think this car is never gonna be finished!!!!!!

I ve found many trailing arms on ebay but all of them are for the 3.2 liter! I checked the part number and it is different! I already heard different things.. Some people say its the same thing, some people say its not!

PLEEEEAAASSEEE help me... Does anybody know if it is the same part or different???

The glamorous world of modding. The trailing arm is such a bulk of metal, how bad was the press job to break it?!!

If they have different part #s then they are different.....I know that the EVO M3 has had a makeover to its rear suspension geometry, the arms could be part of it.

i dont think that they are different as the 3.0, evo, and e46 m3 use the same trailing arm bushing..... i would say chck with TAM for powerflex i think they have some in stock..

holy sorry mate i thought u were talking about the bushing.... i guess ur best bet is take the broken arm to sharjah scraps and u might find it. Also check if they share the same arms with the regular 3 series??? as i think they do....

I spent my saturday in Sharjah! Nope they dont have em anywhere!!!! The normal e36 arm doesent fit as even on the arm is written "M///"

I doubble checked it also in the internet, and the normal e36 one doesent fit!

I dont know what they did to it.. sorry to say that.. but thats just redicilously stupid!

I honestly dont think that the 3.2 arm is different from the 3.0

Oh btw...

What i ve found out that the 3.2 arms fit in any other e36 bmw as an upgrade to make it possible to drive bigger brakes... so logicially it should be the same as in the 3.0 liter?!?!?!

Anyway.... Simon the 3.2 evo has the 210mm diff casing rear subframe just like the e46 M3, so i assume that if you found an e46 trailing arms they would fit. There is a scrap yard at sharjah that you can check if ur interested ??!!

If not ill call a guy tomorrow that i know for a fact that is keeping an Evo shell and ill ask him to part out the rear arms :)

I ve found one on ebay in germany.. it will cost me around 1000 AED with shipping.. BUT its from a 3.2 so thats why i am hesitating...

this one also is a Evo but i've been trying to get the guy to sell some stuff of it but he wouldnt, ill try with him tomorrow.... mean while would take a picture of the arm and post it so i can see if we can sort it out using other means??

The guy means driver side.. now as the car is in UK.. its gonna be for the passenger side it guess!
