    Are there any particular issues with the American spec M3?

          US specs has 10 hp less then european due to extra catalytic converter, it comes with 333hp. this is my knowlegde in terms of power :)

                stay on topic... the e36 and older BMWs that came from US had very different specs. this is not the case with the e46 models and newer BMWs.


                as for the e46 there is only -10HP which are barely noticable... i worked around it so there is no big issue.

                  ^^ +1. Most of the difference is the US reflectors, MPH dials, headers, catalytic converter location and number, and solid brake discs (not floating and drilled like Euro spec M3).

                        some of the US models came with drilled disks...

                        here are the differences:
                        _non-oval mirror
                        _radio
                        _MPH
                        _Cats in headers
                        _exhaust sec1
                        _brake disks
                        _non folding mirrors
                        _-10h due to headers design
                        _bumper reflectors
                        the rest is the same.

                          also there is no 4 cylinder bimmer available in the US market....this information i got it from several parts Distributors

                            Some of them NO Big Screen (NAV)

                            but you dont have to worry they are all same Engines:popcorn:

                              Get the M3 competition package, of you are planning to import one, it has the floating rotors. quicker steering rack from the csl, more tricky diff with controls on steering (not sure abt this one) and the 19" csl style wheels :drool:
