Adaptive Light - X5 2009

Hello mates,

Hope everyone here fine... I do have a technical question on 2009 X5's adaptive front lights, do they turn to left as well right when steering?

I got mine turning to right only but not to left, I did check it with AGMC and said its normal, this is the way it was built... but I'm not confessed!!

Please advice!!

It should turn left and right, what's the use of turning the lights for one side ?

The BMW X5 shows every curve in the best light possible. Sensors in the optional Adaptive Headlights constantly monitor the car’s speed, yaw rate and steering angle, then calculate curve progressions accordingly. Both Xenon headlights then adjust electromechanically to match. When you turn left or right, the low-beam settings complement the Adaptive Headlights by activating an extra reflector in the inner foglights to light up the road ahead. Whatever the driving situation, the result is an impressively better lit road surface.

Thanks mates,

I'm going today after 9 to see whom to fight with, wish to find their big head..

But I came with a conclusion, among all agencies I have tried; Toyota, Chevy, Mitsu, Land Rover, Renault...

BMW (AGMC) is the worse!! Giving me wrong information to keep me happy about the car I have is the last thing I would expect from such a dealer!!

Any way, I will test a couple of X5s when I go their to see whos right, mine or others..

I went to AGMC today morning... And guess what... The car is fine, the lights turn to right only.. but the fog lights do turn both left and right!!

I tested 2 X5s and all are the same...

The left light have more range than the right one so it doesn't need to turn left but the right light have shorter range, it needs to turn to right...!!

BTW, I asked about the 335 Sport Coupe, no more stock, 2010 on the way...

and 5 Seireas sedan (New Shape) is coming in April or May 2010 as 2011 and might be come as 535i DTC

I thought I would share those info incase if someone would be waiting for them :)
