How's it going?

I'm currently looking for 19" alloys for my car.

Have been through a couple of places!

Got my heart stuck on this really wicked BBS set!:evil:
Air II CY
But! then again! effin expensive!

I'm looking for something similar, found these on the hunt

The R-505 black finish!

But i'm not really sure if it's advisable.

Does it make a difference, when it comes to safety, strength, or durability?
If so, are there any others you guys would suggest?

Its just that never ending obsession with black I have.. Wanted a black 325 but wasn't available ! :sad:
black with coral red interiors..
Got a silver with red instead :p!
I'm not complaining though

What color is yours?

501's good too.. But I just love the 505 style

Hi,
I'm giving my opinion here:
I dont like the R-505 black finish! they look cheap (not price)! u have a beautiful 3 series! sporty and elegant!
The Air II CY, look decent! but still not the best!

You need to be carefull with the BBS look! that BBS look can be either great or just ugly, a thin line between both!

The first picture i hae here is a BBS look. SO PLAIN! It wont look nice at all!


I think you should consider something other than the BBS look on ur 3 series!
Look at those 2:


They both look good, but in my opinion i see the 5 spoke look better! I even like the 335 coupe rims 5 spoke!

One more note, lol
Black rims with silver finish lip always make your rim look smaller in size!
When i painted mine black, they looked like 17"!!! they are 19", I painted them back to original finish! I have pictures of both i u want, hahaha!
I say 20" will do the trick!

I still have few friends that tell me the black finish look was better on my car! for me, its a NO unless i'm have 20"+ rims! then i might consider it!

the r-505 is available in sharjah... for cheap. but is not strong not elegant on a e92, and most importantly can't be compared with BBS.

Btw all the rims that are in the link that you posted are available in sharjah, seen them there many times

LSB - Thanks for the suggestions mate! Looking at them for a longer period of time bought me to the same mind frame :P they do look a little cheap, and i guess what you said about the lip being a different color, makes sense.

aaah and 20"s !? i really wouldnt mind, but first things -
(stands up on the chair)

- Would they really look good, or just oversized?
- I read somewhere, that the maximum size you should put on your car (advisable)
is the largest size the manufacturer uses on that particular model, in that case
e92 uses 19"s as max, not considering the hamann m3 they use 20"
- Would that affect the performance of my car in anyway?

Bruno- ya, i agree, you cant compare the two, but is there some other brand any of you guys would suggest i should check out, quality and price wise ?

Moe- i like !!! im gonna look them up on ebay :P
