So I’ve been thinking about this for quite sometime now , although I've been modding cars for the past 10 yrs or so but I haven’t done any Bimmer , majority of my cars were Japanese and inline 6's to be exact .
The supercharger kit I chose is the ESS VT2 625 and that was after going through alotta forums and reviews and finally drove one last week , I’m completely satisfied with the performance of this kit and that’s how I want my car to be .
here is the Kit :
Okay , Now this is all sweet and fancy ..here is the ****** up part !
Although This kit requires no change in any of the internals or alternating any thing stock apart from those injectors and the polys ( which is completely reversible BTW ) My car has the APR2008 production S65 engine which regardless of whether you had the symptoms or how bullet proof this engine is many reported it had issues with the ROD Bearings under boost or after 100K of NA use . and I don’t want any issues with my 200000 Dhs car of course ! SO I decided to go for the ROD replacement job prior to the installation ... Actually I wanna do it with my next oil change which I'm due for in like a month or so .
Now Rod bearings replacement job on a Toyota 2JZ Block for example is bit hard .. but on an M engineered S65 engine with all their bore settings and plastigauges and BMW Spec is one MAJOR PAIN IN DA *** !
So I’m looking for reputable shop that I can trust to do this job for my babe ... And I don’t know anybody when it comes to BMW shops unfortunately .
I already ordered the VAC Motorsport KIT which got the coated bearings and those are thermal breakdown resistant, helping to prevent premature engine failures under stress when things are most critical. These bearings can last much longer than any normal bearing set as proven by the 100s engine built and racecar completing more than 150K of track use !
Here is the ROD bearings replacement kit by VAC MS :
Now My fellow Bimmersss , I need your help ... I’m looking for a decent BMW Spec compliant shop in the UAE to do this Job according to clearance specs using the BMW tools ... what do you recommend knowing that I'll be providing the replacement parts and I just need them to do the job ..my budget for this should not exceed 2000 dhs ... what do you say ?!
