answering your question :

I believe it will same cost if you buy a used unit from scrap ,

you can grab a Japanese unit which no one buys , and replace the front panel , they go for around 600AED where the LCD display costs about 400AED shipped then labor at least another 300AED .

this is what you need to order , finding people to do it not an issue if you want to go that route .

get the parts and I will do it for you , few hours job but not a big deal .

Got into trouble today evening.engine oil & radiator hose leaking.AGMC quoted 9000dhs for the work:scared:

I'm not a fan of BMW dealers in general and I like to deal with workshops where I know people ( many good workshops around including our sponsors ) .

you might pay half the price with other workshops , dealers are expensive but you get 2 years warranty on their work and if anything went wrong during the repair , it's fully covered for free .

so the choice is all yours .
