[SOLVED] E46 M3 AC doesnt switch on :?

Hey all,

Havent been using the AC for a while since the weather has been great! yday, tried to turn the AC on and it wouldnt switch on :(

None of the buttons in the AC unit works. Seems like an electrical fault. Anyone faced this issue before?

I'm planning to swap out the fuse as step 1.

Any other suggestions?

Fuse is a good decision, always doesn't hurt trying to play with the cheap stuff. I did face an issue several times where the AC unit just rebooted itself (switched off and on after few seconds) while driving. Don't know if you can change parts in that thing or not, but I do know that the AC unit comes standard in all E46s so you could find a cheap one in Sharjah.

Luckily it was the fuse :)

The AC unit fuses are 28,62 and 63 (5A, 7.5A and 7.5A). Tried the old trial and error method. The culprit was fuse 62(7.5A). Had a spare with which i switched the faulty fuse and voila! AC is back on just in time for the summer ;)
