Bmw's with rear entertainment systems (DVD players) USA spec cars have there DVD's locked on region 1 and are unable to play region 2 DVD's.

A customer took his E70 USA spec car to AGMC so that he could have his rear DVD player region changed to middle east region (region 2).
He was told that it would cost him 7,000 dhs to fit a new region 2 DVD player and re-code the car.
Well guy's what a load of bollocks!
It took me 60 mins to change the DVD region 1 to region 2 (select region 2 when r-coding the DVD player)only software no new hardware required.
So guy's, DVD region change available at the X centre.
Why pay 7000 dhs when you can pay 500 dhs !!!!!!!!!!!!
