Hello Everyone,
I own a BMW 330i- which was purchased in Nov 2014 at 70,000 kms. The car was single owner driven and very well maintained. It has been trouble free- only the alternator dying back in August 2015 wherein an original one along with a new battery was put in.
Currently the car has 101k kms on it and a week back all of sudden the transmission failure message popped up and the gears sort of locked. I switched off the car and restarted it and the message went away. The error code next day read 495f aspect ratio.
The code was cleared and the problem never returned since then- however the gears feel jerky and the problem somehow seems to just be waiting to return.
I do not launch my car very often and usually have a sedate driving style heavily using the cruise control. Car has been serviced at an Indy (oil changes, break pads, spark plugs)
Any advice of what this could be and where should i get it checked?
Thanks
