Been there, done that last year. One of the best DIY's you'll ever do. Simply because it's something you will lay your hand on every time you sit in the car.

I did mine out of an aftermarket knob which was half plastic and half rubber. Had an OEM M3 knob, but the lovely shipping company destroyed it. So, got creative with the aftermarket knob, ended up covering it in suede and illuminating it using the same bits from the old one.

Looks awesome and the ZHP knob is so much nicer than the original one. Want to do another? I have the original and a ZHP ready to go?

It took me around 5-6 hours to do this. Pretty simple. I am sure you can manage it yourself! c'mon give it a try! :D

i have one of my yellow bulbs is not working. i think each gear knob has 2 bulbs?

plz tell me you didn't throw the bulb? or atleast can you tell me where you got one from?

Mine had three bulbs. They are red mate, none are yellow.

However I prefer trying to find my knob in the dark rather than illuminating it! hahahaha

Just make sure to attach thinner wires to the LED circuit board so that it fits nicely along the shaft. Otherwise it wont go down fully.

I started on mine.. I had 2 white lights and 1 red on mine. Getting all red instead. Should be done by Sunday or Monday

yes the bulbs are colored white, but when u light them up, they are all red.
