e46 M3 Cabrio Amp location

Does anyone know where the factory amplifier is located in the e46 m3 cabrio??? is it in trunk? or the left side panel beside the rear seats?

The Harman Kardon amplifier is located behind the left rear quarter panel trim (in the trunk opposite the battery)

For some reason I always thought it's under the passenger's seat....Could be a childhood memory from an ICE modded car..

yup...i do have a H/K system... Any idea how much the amp costs?? need to replace it... any aftermarket amps you would recommend?

It cost $658 new...There was a HK system for sale a while back in Shj!

I think the wiring is soldered to the HK amp, but I'm not sure. I don't think they've plugged them in the amp...

If i were in your place i would buy a used amp from sharjah all e46 coupes with h/k system should have compatible amps

nope...passenger bay....next to rear seats...need to remove the side trim to access them
