ernest, just FYI, if you get caught driving a car without a valid driving licence here, I've been told that it's a big fine, jail and (possibly) deportation. Is it worth it?

Back on topic, I never have my problems getting good range with my key, mostly because I activate the remote while it is in my pocket and getting the benefit of my uber-antenna :D

i tried this one, and it definitely worked. id say around 10 mtrs max for me, since the battery for my key is so weak it barely goes on at 1 mtr. my wife keeps shouting at me when i do it though, she says itll fry my brain and theres barely any left lol :)

Want to try something different?
Have a friend walk over to your car driver door with a cellphone and you stay home or somewhere far away. Now call your friend on his cellphone and hold the key to the phone and press unlock. Ask him if the car has unlocked. Worked on my 323i. Try it.
