time limit for editing your own post?

is this correct? there is a 5 minute time limit for editing your own post? if so, thats SILLY. please remove the limit as when your writing posts mistakes ae always made and picked up later.

Rifo, why have a time limit? if you wanna edit your post 2 days or 4 weeks later, you should be able to do that right? whats with the time limit if you don't mind me asking?

After 60 minutes, people would have probably replied to Post #1. Any editing might lead to viewers being mislead and confused. Also, for security reasons and purposes.
