Some pics of my previous and current BMW's!

1999 E39 M5 in Le Mans Blue. Modified with full bolt-on upgrades. I regret selling her every day of my life! Perhaps one day I can pick one up in good condition inshala.

My current 2006 E60 M5 in Sepang Bronze. Modified with full bolt-on upgrades. This V10 is a keeper!

They don't call them Ultimate Driving Machines for nothing you know! LOL The M5 is the perfect combination of performance and luxury. In fact, I realized what an awesome machine this car really is after tracking it last Friday! I cannot believe a 2 ton car could do what my car did on track that day!

Why did you go for the 3.40 diff? People usually go for higher ratios not lower?

Correction, my diffs were 3.45 not 3.40. OEM diffs were 3.15. Shorter drive ratios resulted in quicker acceleration from all gears. It was fun for street driving, the car took off quicker when I needed it to.

Yes, higher end rolling inertia was sacrificed, but Bahrain is a small country and we do not have stretch of roads that deserved longer ratios.

My 1/4 mile time was chopped from 13.44 to 13.05 just by replacing the rear diffs.

oh your OEM one is 3.15, which explains why ..

for E46 M3 the diff is 3.64 and people usually go for 3.91 or 4.10 So this is why I asked you. You got the full diff ? or just a kit ?
