BMW has created a series of funny television commercials promoting its ConnectedDrive driver assistance technology.
In the commercials the ConnectedDrive technology and all of its functions is personified as an animated personality sitting in the passenger seat. BMW describes ConnectedDrive technology in these commercials as, "a library of innovations and apps that allow drivers to stay in touch with their world, while keeping their eyes on the road. Making it a really smart copilot, that you'll want by your side."
BMW first displayed ConnectedDrive almost a year ago at the Geneva Motor Show. The technology consists of three main feature categories - they are convenience, infotainment and safety. Examples of the features are: emergency stop assistant, remote control parking, side collision avoidance, pedestrian protection, nightvision, active steering + active cruise control during traffic jams, access to entertainment apps (games, video) when stopped in addition to various mobile phone apps such as micro-navigation and Connected App.
