    2008 BMW 3 Series vs. 2009 3 Series Facelift

There are a few comparison shots, the first three of them show the exterior front differences while the other focusing on the exterior rear changes. The last images will give you a side-by-side photo comparison between the two models and that should give you a better idea of what has changed and if this was a needed change.

In my opinion, BMW did a really good job !
P.S The new hood gives the car an amazing sporty look.

they should have done better for the rear.. it is an improvement nonetheless :)

the front looks much more aggressive

Every time I take a look at the E90, face lift or not I instantly get reminded of the E36. . .

the front is a great improvment. Loving the kidney grill/bumper/headlights

the rear, nice lights, but there's something wrong in them, Lexus'ish ?? (and there wont be blacklines i assume)

This shows never buy a new released car :nono:
Always wait for the facelift, if any, to come and then make a shot.

I hate current E90 taillights. New taillights are much better than the old ones. Similar to E92. Good improvement

I actually think it's better to buy a new released one

let's take BMW as a case:
                    - new released stays for 4 yrs, the face-lift stays for 3 years only
                    - the facelift is a small change, compared to a whole new design, so your model "kinda" stays for 7 years, not just 3

yeah it depends from one person to another..

i say just buy the car u like, you can't wait 4 years to get a facelift :D

considering BMW latest models, facelifting a 5er or 6er is possible, but the Z4, 3er & 7er are much harder if not impossible :)
