    2012 BMW F12 M6 Rendered

    2012 BMW M6 F12 Rendering

Based on the Concept Gran Coupe

It was only a matter of time until some crafty photoshop assassins put a hit on the alleged future BMW 6-Series. With fresh new materials to use, the fine folks at BimmerBoost have created some renderings of the 2012 BMW M6.

Based on Concept Gran Coupe, which debuted at last week's Beijing Motor Show, the M6 features an aggressive rear bumper (with an integrated diffuser), aerodynamic side skirts, front fender vents, and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.

While details are scarce, the M6 will likely be powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. Producing 570 hp (425 kW / 578 PS), same as the anticipated BMW M5, the engine should allow the M6 to accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in under 4.2 seconds. How's that for speculation?

that's more like a 5 series coupe (if it will ever exist)... the 6 series should look totally different IMO :)

hmmm maybe BMW are looking at this option, having a 5er coupe just as the have a 1er coupe and 3er coupe......

Still looks like a BMW IMO but a lot less aggressive which doesn't match the ///M :dunno:

Next generation 2012 BMW F12 M6 first spy photos

Not even two months since we brought you renderings of the next BMW M6, a prototype of the car has been spied testing on the Nürburgring. The test car has a similar roofline to the BMW Gran Coupe Concept design sketches seen last month, even though the actual concept car's rear doors alter the shape.

With all the camouflage, including extra pieces over the front end, it is difficult to see what the car will bring to the table. It does appear to have a thin lower lip/splitter, a sectional bumper, and hiding underneath black mesh camouflage twin kidney grilles with slats similar to those on the Gran Coupe Concept. Adding to the performance-oriented M car are the cross-drilled rotors, and the expected quad-exhaust. Bigger wheels were also added. Like the nose, the rear of the car has been covered up quite thoroughly.

The next BMW M6 is expected to share a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 570 hp (425 kW, 578 PS) with the M5. The car could be capable of a 4.2-second sprint to 60 mph.

                        Those brakes are huge.

I am sure it will adopt a lot of styling from the 5, but would still have some individuality to it.

Not too thrilled about the engine.

It's still under testing lol, don't repeat the 7 Series F01 mistake when it was under testing, we all said that it's ugly, and after it was unleashed, we all said it's wonderful !

Anyway, that doesn't give the chance to it to be great !

                            Let's wait and see ! ;)
